Manigault is not new to the Corner, having completed his graduate internship here in 2014.
YPSILANTI, Mich.(CornerHealth.org) β Former Corner Graduate Intern, Douglas Manigault III reunites with the Corner Health Center as Development Director. A member of the leadership team, Manigault III will lead the fundraising efforts for the Corner.
Manigault is a respectful boundary pusher, experienced relationship manager and strategist. A macro social worker by training, Douglas has spent the last eight years raising funds for small, large, and national nonprofits. He has successfully raised nearly $20-million from individuals, foundations, corporations, government agencies, and community organizations. Manigault regularly presents locally and at national conferences on the unique features of social workers as fundraisers, fundraising rooted in racial justice, and being a successful development director. He has also written about fundraising and currently teaches a grant writing and fundraising course to Master of Social Work (MSW) students at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. In addition to holding an MSW degree, Manigault has the distinct honor of holding the esteemed Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential.
"Returning to lead the fundraising efforts at the Corner Health Center is a full-circle moment," Manigault said. "I left my internship in 2014 inspired to do this work. I am particularly excited for this work in such a generous community like Washtenaw County."
