Healthy Youth, Healthy Futures Program

Cooking/baking class:

Free cooking program for ages 12-25 in Washtenaw County (including Belleville & Canton)! In this program you will learn how to cook delicious meals while also gaining nutrition education and participating in physical activity to promote overall health! We will have two field trips and some guest chefs come in to teach classes. The program will familiarize youth with healthy eating habits and empower them to cook for themselves and their families.

When: Tuesdays, 5 - 7 p.m. beginning June 25.
Where: A combination of on site cooking classes at The Corner (47. N Huron) and community field trips.
How do I sign up? Unfortunately, our classes are full!


Physical fitness class:

Free fitness program for ages 12-25 in Washtenaw County (including Belleville & Canton)! In this program you will participate in different physical activities and learn the numerous benefits of being outside and getting your body moving! This summer is all about self-defense. The class will run for six weeks (not meeting the week of July 1) and teach the basics of self-defense. The course will be offered for free as part of the Healthy Youth Healthy Futures Program.

When: Wednesdays, 5 - 6 p.m. beginning June 26.
Where: The Corner Health Center (47. N Huron).
