YPSILANTI, Mich.(CornerHealth.org) – Meet the Corner Health Center's Gender-Affirming Nurse Care Coordinator, Mia Cava!

Cava's role includes serving as the point of contact for patients who receive gender-affirming hormones at the Corner, facilitating prior-authorizations for prescriptions, communicating with pharmacies and insurance companies, and troubleshooting issues with getting medications and supplies. We are so grateful have her on the team at the Corner!

"My hope is that my work helps patients get what they need, related to their gender affirming care with as few barriers as possible and in an environmentthat feels supportive and affirming," Cava stated.
