Partnering Organization of the Year — Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office

YPSILANTI, Mich. (Cornerhealth.org) – The Corner Health Center was honored by the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office for its RAPID program at the office's 2025 Annual Awards Ceremony.
The RAPID program is an initiative to deflect the county’s young people from the criminal legal system and towards support and resources.
“This recognition means a lot to me and my team. RAPID was created because we saw real gaps in our community and knew there was an opportunity to show up for our young people in a different way and create more pathways for them. To have that work recognized this early on is powerful. It affirms that we’re moving in the right direction. I also want to recognize our Program Coordinator, Montasia James, who has done phenomenal work and continues to show up for our youth every day. This truly wouldn’t be possible without her. I’m incredibly grateful for our partnership with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office and the shared commitment to doing things differently for our community. This work is personal, and we’re just getting started.”
Congrats to our team members Degaryia and Montasia for their incredible work! Click here to learn more about RAPID.
