The Corner Health: has My Baby’s First Year Booklets with important information, like baby development, doctor visits, vaccines, sleeping habits and tips, safety for the baby, formula usage, nutrition and foods, common illnesses and what to do, and more resources every parent may need. Childbirth Classes
Corner Health Childbirth Classes: Learn about labor stages, hospital preparation, comfort options, birthing preferences, postpartum care, and breastfeeding readiness. Understand the role of a doula. Free classes are available on May 16, July 18, September 19, and November 21, 2024.

Ypsi-Arbor Childbirth Education: Offering evidence-based classes to prepare for childbirth and parenting. Options include a 7-week evening series and 4-week weekend classes, both in-person, covering labor, birth, and postpartum care registration

Infant Care & Safety Classes
Corner Health Infant Care and Safety Class: Learn the basics of infant care, including car seat and sleep safety. Bimonthly classes are free for expectant parents in their third trimester, aged 26 and younger. Participants can receive a car seat and portable crib if needed. Emergency Assistance
Barrier Busters: invests in emergency funding to help prevent costly evictions and health emergencies. The residents(Washtenaw County residents) in need of assistance have access to the “Barrier Buster Emergency Unmet needs” fund. They also offer a helpline if you need more help and or information. Virtual Support
Brother Be Well: is a multimedia platform that focuses on mental health for boys and men of color, offering culturally-affirming education, awareness, and healing. The platform offers Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) education and is open to the public, with free membership available for individuals and groups. Connect here.

Food
The Corner Health Center: offers free food assistance to community members ages 12-25 and their children, who can receive free food once a week. The food pantry offers fresh produce, baked goods, frozen meats, and dairy/eggs. Ask the front desk to go! Don't forget to ask about our weekly cooking classes.
Hope Clinic: provides food to families and individuals in need. Pantry appointments allow you to shop for your own food once a month, including bread, produce, meat, and dairy. Appointments are required. Schedule an appointment here.

Clothing
House by the Side of the Road: provides free clothing for children and adults. They offer baby clothes, clothes for school, and work clothes. There are limits to how many clothes you can take, and clients can come back for more clothes every three months. There is no need for qualification to get clothes. Learn more.
Project Hope: helps anyone in need. They offer baby items (0-18) months old, this includes diaper wipes and baby clothes. They also offer more information in connecting and networking for more resources. Learn more.

Legal Services of South Central Michigan (LSSCM): provides free legal advice and representation to low-income individuals, families, and older adults in Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Clinton, Eaton, Hillsdale, Ingham, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, Shiawassee, and Washtenaw Counties. Novartis Patience Assistance Foundation provides their patients with free medication with limited or no prescription drug coverage. This includes medications in dermatology, oncology, ophthalmology, and many more.
