American Legion Boys Nation is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for U.S. high school students. Two representatives from each of the 49 Boys States represent their state at Boys Nation in Washington where the young leaders receive an education on the strucure and function of federal government

The senators of the 76th session of the American Legion Boys Nation elected their top two officers Tuesday night, with the presidential race decided by the closest of megins Tamarus Darby Jr. of Michigan edged John Wiest of Rhode Island, 50-48 to be elected president.
