Michigan Health Endowment Fund's Release
YPSILANTI, Mich. (cornerhealth.org) -- The Michigan Health Endowment Fund announced its commitment to our community’s young people, providing The Corner Health Center with a new grant for behavioral health services Thursday, Sept. 12.
The key issue addressed is the lack of comprehensive mental health support for at-risk youth in our community. The Corner’s YouthWell Initiative aims to fill this gap by providing tailored educational materials, therapy sessions, and peer support networks that empower young people to manage their mental health effectively. This project will greatly benefit the youth by improving their ability to cope with trauma and stress, enhancing their overall emotional well-being, and equipping them with skills to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
“The projects in our 2024 grant cohort provide behavioral health care in new ways and strengthen important systems of support in our communities,” said Becky Cienki, Director for Behavioral Health and Special Projects. “We’re excited to see the impact of these innovative projects in helping residents across our state access services that meet their needs.”
